Donations for Those Affected by the Great Sichuan Earthquake in China

Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI: Tokyo; Akihisa Fujinuma, Chairman and President, CEO & COO) has decided to donate a total of ¥10 million to assist the relief and rebuilding efforts after the major earthquake that struck Sichuan Province in China on May 12. The donation consists of ¥4,843,000 contributed by NRI Group employees and ¥5,157,000 provided by NRI as part of our matching gift program and will be given to the Japanese Red Cross Society through Nippon Keidanren (Japanese Business Federation).
All NRI Group employees express deepest sympathy to those affected by the earthquake, and sincerely hope for restoration of the affected areas.
