Nomura Research Institute, Ltd.
Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI: Tokyo, Japan; Akihisa Fujinuma, President, CEO & COO) has been strengthening its ties with selected partner companies since March 2003 by entering into “ePartner contracts” with them. This cooperative scheme is aimed at achieving major improvements in quality and productivity in the system solution business. Recently, NRI signed a contract with Software Research Associates, Inc. (SRA: Tokyo, Japan; Toru Kashima, President).
NRI selects companies that have highly professional business expertise and information technology capabilities as well as a high level of information security, and enters into ePartner contracts with them. In our business to reinforce system functions and/or develop new systems for clients, NRI’s ePartner companies participate in a wide range of processes from the upstream process, which includes the definition of system requirements and basic design, to program development. These close relationships with ePartner companies enable NRI to provide the highest quality service to our clients supported by a high degree of professionalism, technological capability and reliability. In closer cooperation with ePartner companies, NRI promotes enhancement operations including proposals and business process reforms in addition to system maintenance. At the same time, NRI and its ePartner companies will closely cooperate with one another in project management, and will systematically strengthen the three most important areas of our system solution business, that is, human resources, quality and information security. We will thus build a business model that makes the best use of each company's expertise and that ensures coexistence and prosperity for all involved. In addition to its contract with SRA, NRI has entered into ePartner contracts with 10 other companies – eight Japanese companies and two Chinese companies. The eight Japanese companies include Argo 21 Corporation, Canon System Solutions Inc., Cube System Inc., HIMACS, Ltd., Toho System Science Co., Ltd. and VIC Tokai Corporation (listed in alphabetical order).
