Dell and NRI to Collaborate in System Building for

Dell Computer K.K. (Dell: Kawasaki; Hiroshi Hamada, President)
and Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI: Tokyo; Akihisa Fujinuma, President,
CEO & COO) have agreed to collaborate in the system building of Dell|EMC
storage products.
Background and Objectives
In October 2001, Dell concluded an agreement with U.S. EMC Corporation regarding the storage business and since then the two companies have provided their joint brand "Dell/EMC." NRI will provide total and high-quality services such as introduction consultation, operation and management, as a partner of Dell Technology Consulting (DTC), Dell's consulting division.
Dell positions Dell|EMC as a strategic product for strengthening the enterprise business on which the company is focusing. Using its original business model, the company has been providing both advanced solutions and superior services. From now, Dell will collaborate with NRI in the field of storage system building in the multi-vendor environment and operation and maintenance, in order to enable more customers to benefit from highly cost-efficient network storage solutions.
NRI has been introducing and operating enterprise storage systems, together with its group company NRI Data Services, Ltd., focusing on major financial institutions and distribution companies. In collaboration with Dell, NRI aims to provide a broader market with the abundant technological know-how and services related to storage that NRI Group owns.

Details of the Collaboration
| 1. | Expansion of "Dell|/EMC" to the multi-vendor environment
Dell and NRI will jointly provide the following services to the multi-vendor
environment
focusing on the UNIX platform. The companies will also actively provide
storage services to multiple manufacturers and multiple device composed
environment. Specifically, the services will focus on the following: Storage design servicesStorage building servicesStorage operating servicesStorage disaster recovery services (Note 1) |
| 2. | Joint marketing and promotion activities The two companies will jointly carry out marketing activities and promotion activities through seminars. |
