Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. SAP Japan Co., Ltd.
On December 4, 2002, Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI: Tokyo; Akihisa Fujinuma, President, CEO & COO) and SAP Japan Co., Ltd. (SAP Japan: Tokyo; Kiyotaka Fujii, President & CEO) announced a cooperative venture in product linkage and services in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) field. Initially, the new function that supports linkage with mySAP CRM, SAP Japan's CRM solution, will be incorporated into the latest version of NRI's text mining tool, TRUE TELLER Ver.3 (scheduled for release in mid December, 2002). With this product linkage, the two companies will jointly develop such services as seminar organization, consultation and system construction.
SAP Japan's CRM solution, mySAP CRM, features quantitative data analysis of customer, product and sales information and contact data, and by combining these functions with TRUE TELLER will enable the analysis of correlation with qualitative data of Japanese text information. Furthermore, with linkage to the SAP R/3 mainstream system, mySAP CRM will centrally manage diverse corporate activity information including accounting, production, purchasing and personnel affairs. Through the analysis of the relationship between broad information and text data such as customers' "voices," it will be possible to analyze corporate activities from a customer viewpoint from a wide range of perspectives. The results of these analyses can be effectively fed back to marketing, product planning, maintenance and manufacturing functions. Through this cooperation with SAP Japan based on linkage between mySAP and TRUE TELLER, NRI will actively develop functions in the field of CRM. Initially, NRI had targeted 30 companies as the shipping audience for TRUE TELLER during the current year, but with this incorporation of functions, the company now expects an increase of a further 10 companies.
With the newly announced product linkage, NRI and SAP Japan will progress jointly in a wide range of CRM fields ranging from the organization of seminars to the fostering of mySAP CRM consultation, system development and operations. NRI and SAP Japan will jointly implement all aspects of CRM programs from project proposals to up-stream consultation and the installation stages of construction and introduction.
