Quality control

In systems development and management and consulting service projects, NRI's business divisions engage in quality control in good faith. Quality Management Division has been established for companywide super vision in the area of quality control to promote and support quality control activities by its business divisions.

Quality control framework

NRI is engaged in a variety of activities for quality control in systems development and management.

In order to ensure the quality of new systems development projects, NRI employs NRI-QMS, a quality management system that defines the rules and procedures in business processes, based on the pool of expertise it has gained through years of quality improvement activities. Under NRI-QMS, review meetings are held at each phase of a project with an exhaustive review by experts in the company, consulting and providing knowhow to the project team members.

The "NRI Standard Framework" has been established to provide guidelines for efficiency in NRI-QMS activities. The Framework provides definitions for standard processes, the activities in each process, as well as the goals, in a systematic order. It also aids in sharing practical knowhow for upgrading quality and productivity within the organization.

In the system enhancement (maintenance and management) projects underway, NRI is engaged in enhancing business innovation on a companywide scale and provides a continuing basis for improvements in the quality and productivity of its enhancement operations and in activities to reduce system failures, aiming at stabilizing systems operation after full startup.

In activities for all projects, both new systems and enhancements, efforts are being directed towards reinforcing ties with partner businesses to improve quality at business partners, and toward productivity innovation with the development of tools for information sharing and test efficiency, as well as utilizing a checklist of items requiring attention in systems design.
